• 一年一度的聖誕節即將到來 語言中心今年特別在English Corner舉辦 「English ONLY聖誕才藝競賽」與「命中注定就是你之聖誕小禮物交換活動」
  
  「English ONLY聖誕才藝競賽」 歡迎全校師生參賽報名以英語呈現各類才藝，如英語短劇、歌曲、相聲、故事、笑話、魔術等，表演內容需有完整主題，主題不限，表現方式不限團體或個人，表演時間限制為3∼7分鐘。
  1. 評分方式：台風25%、創意25%、流暢度25%、服裝造型25%。
  2. 獎勵辦法：冠軍獎金2000元、亞軍1500元、季軍1000元、最夯人氣獎500元、最佳創意獎500元、最佳造型獎 500元。
  3. 報名方式：報名表請至語言中心領取或上語言中心網(http://www.ntpu.edu.tw/~lc) 下載，填寫完資料後繳回語言中心即完成報名。
  4. 報名截止日：2008年12月12日。
  
  「命中注定就是你之聖誕小禮物交換活動」
  1. 請準備一份300元以內(不低於200元) 的貼心小禮物。
  2. 請於12月18日前將禮物交至語言中心(人文3F07)並填寫交換禮物資料表。
  3. 請事先準備英文祝福短句(1~3句即可)。

  3. 由於參加English Corner活動的報名人數踴躍，目前尚缺星期一3~4節的小組負責人，歡迎有興趣的您儘速跟語言中 心聯絡2674-8189(66477~66481)。
  4. 本校外籍學生Mick將於每周星期三與星期四中午午餐時間，幫大家練習英語會話，只要超過10人以上報名即開辦活動，報名請洽語言中心。

• About the English Corner Study Group
  1. 語言中心在English Corner舉辦的English Study Group活動，不收任何費用。
  2. 活動地點在人文大樓English Corner(文4F18)。
  3. 上課內容大致採取每周一個主題，由小組長帶領同學輕鬆有趣地聊天練英文，上課時間會排在較多同學方便的時段，這些時段會等報名截止後，由語言中心統計並公告，屆時還請同學多加留意相關資訊。

  英語學習小組活動，即日起開始報名，報名日期至2008年10月3日止，欲知詳細活動辦法或報名，請洽人文大樓3F07語言中心。報名截止後，本中心將彙整同學所填的時段，人數多的時段會安排課程。另外，有意願擔任小組長的同學也可至語言中心登記。開課日期會在相關作業結束之後公告於語言中心網頁，屆時須請有參加的同學注意相關公告。

  1.「大一英文期初分級測驗」包含所有大一新生、僑外生、重補修學生，未參加大一英文分級測驗者不得選修大一英文及英語聽講練習，請於下學年度準時參加，本中心不辦理補考。
  2. 試場分配也可至語言中心外公佈欄查看。
  3. 第一週皆為測驗週，第二週開始正式上課。

• 本中心僅訂於97年6月9~13日該週舉行大一學生期末「英文能力測驗」，校定共同必選修之英文、英語聽講練習皆須測驗， 請各班授課教師隨班施測。
  
  該測驗成績於英文、英語聽講練習課程分別佔本學期總成績25%，敬請各位同學注意，務必到場參加考試，否則不予補考。

• Prof. Yao Yu-wen gave a speech on "What a Chinese teacher should be aware as teaching Chinese as a foreign language". Prof. Yao has taught Chinese as a foreign language in UCLA for several years. Her speech on Dec. 25 and 27 attracted many students with her humorous and lively speaking style. Listen online (I) (II) (pic01, pic02)
  
• Everyone preparing to enter the job market should never forget the international standard test, TOEIC. Ms. Olga Chen, a project manager of Chun Shin Ltd., ETS Taiwan Distributor, briefly introduced TOEIC to students and demonstrate the latest tests in the speech.
