| The Language Center was established in August, 2006 as a subdivision of the Office of Academic Affairs in accordance with the decision made by School Affairs Committee in April, 2006. As most language labs are nearby, the LC office is located in 3F07, College of Humanities. The Language Center is and will be responsible for: |

- English/language courses
- English/language proficiency and placement tests
- Chinese teaching-related affairs
- Audio and visual-aided teaching materials
- English/language classes for continuing education in the neighborhood
- The maintenance of language labs
