Currently, the Institute has 4 full-time academic staffs, as well as a fulltime visting Professor from overseas. They have a wide range of research and teaching interest, including globalization and local research, environment planning and administration, city culture, and land using and transportation planning.

The Institute also makes full use of a wide range of skilled outside professionals who contribute valuable parts of the professional teaching programs. Currently there are seven of these, in such areas as local planning practice and planning law.

The Faculty and students in the Institute are supported by a full-time administrator and a full-time technical officer.

The Faculty are frequently commissioned to offer professional advice to national and local autheorities and other organizations concerned with urban and regional development, as well as in related policy areas like environmental planning and management. Through contemporary professional practice directly into its teaching programs for its students.
