Computer Center | ||||||||
The information construction of NTPU mainly
consists of three parts: Information Infrastructure, Information Application
System and Information Skill Training. We have two campuses: San Shia
Campus and Taipei Campus. In Taipei Campus, we have a T3 connection
to TANET. The campus internal system relies upon a high speed Ethernet,
linking all the buildings and the student dormitory. San Shia Campus,
the main campus of NTPU, is a well-planned and newly-built area. As
a whole picture of campus planning and development, the network information
center of NTPU is located in the Library-Information Building. With
the help of the common channels and the pre-installed wiring system,
all the optical fiber networks, communication cables and power cables
have been systematically set up under the ground.
It has become an unavoidable trend that university campus is supposed to be highly electronic. The intelligent IC cards are adopted on campus. The IC card can be used as a student ID, which enables them to go in and out of all the buildings and to check out books in the Library. Besides, the card can also function as a personal financial card or an electronic wallet. |

| Scope of Services : | |||||||||
The computer center serves as the central source for
all information technology related services of National Taipei University
; these services include the introducing and application of IT in
teaching and research, support the campus wide IT infrastructure,
development of critical administrative application systems for the
University, and sponsorship of various nurturing activities of the
information society. Specifically, the services of computer center
