Since the establishment of the University in 2000, the Secretariat has actively performed our duties in line
with the instructions of former President Chien-Sing Lee to draft up practical
university rules, set up a forward-looking administrative system,
formulate mid and long-term plans for the promotion of each college
and department from a broad, general perspective and improve the service
attitudes of administrative sections by using a systematic approach.
Under the inspired leadership of current President Ho and
Chief Secretary, Professor Ssu-Ming Chang the
office's personnel have provided mutual support and assistance to
attain our office's goals of raising instructor teaching efficiency,
improving student learning results and fostering campus harmony.
The Secretariat, established in accordance with Articles 4 and 24
of the University's Organization Charter, was designed with one
Chief Secretary in charge of Secretariat affairs, two section leaders
and several staff members. Because the Organizational Charter and
employee organization chart has not yet been approved by the Ministry
of Civil Service, the office currently has one Chief Secretary,
one secretary and two staff members. The greatest limitation to
the execution of the office's duties is staffing our vacancies.
