On March 22, 2012, National Taipei University signed an agreement with Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia with plans to increase enrollment on both sides.

This international exchange was represented by the Dean of College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Mr. Chen, and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. Both schools signed a memorandum of future cooperation, discussed the two countries’ culture and living
environment, and negotiatied further cooperation to provide teachers and students exchange opportunities. During the enrollment interview conducted at the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, many students have expressed an interest in coming to NTPU for further studies.

To increase enrollment numbers, NTPU is currently actively promoting the Summer Culture Camp, bringing local students understand more about Taiwan’s culture.

The two schools expect more oriented cooperation in the future.

HTLC 2012 will be held during August 17-24,2012. We are now seeking volunteers to help out during the conference. If you are a current NTPU student and could speak fluent English we advise you to apply today! At the end of the conference, volunteers will be awarded with a Volunteer Certificate to thank you for your hard work.

English Corner classes will be held in the Language College Rm 4F18 English Corner Center.
The duration of the classes will be held for 10 weeks (4/5/2012 is a public holiday so Wednesday classes will be held for 9 weeks).
*Note: There will be no English Corner classes the week before and during the exam week.

Registration for English Corner classes will be held from 3/5-3/18.

NTPU’s Research and Development Center held the Orientation for international exchange students on February 20, 2012. This semester, NTPU heartily welcomes its exchange students coming from around the world: Czech Republic, France, Poland, and China.

This semester, there are two exchange students from Czech University of Life Sciences, five students from La Rochelle, two students from Adam Mickiewicz University, and thirty students from China (Southwestern University, Sichuan University, Nanjing University, Wuhan University, Sun Yat-sen University, Jinan University, Xi’an Jiaotong University, Northeast Forestry University, Xiamen University, Nankai University and other schools).

The President of NTPU, Shiue Fujing, expressed his welcome to all the international exchange students as well as gave a small presentationon the history of NTPU. The Director of the R&D Center, Professor Wu Tai Xi and Director of the International Affairs Center Professor Zhang Jing Fen, and Director of Student Development Center, Professor Lan Leialso welcomed the exchange students, hoping that their study in Taiwan will be plesant and meaningful.

Students of NTPU are more than welcome to help out the exchange students whether it is adapting to campus life or academic learning.
